FEATURES

NEW HALAS

The city of New Halas, namesake of the original city of the Northmen destroyed by cataclysm and war, sits in the heart of the isle of Erollis, a treacherous land of biting temperatures and aggressive fauna within the freezing waters of the Frostfang Sea. Originally a village of war hardened dwarves, it has since grown due to being blessed by Mithaniel Marr and reconnected with the Shattered Lands of Norrath. Pilgrims to New Halas can find their way there via a griffin at the docks in the Butcherblock Mountains. New characters created for New Halas will start at Pilgrim’s Landing, an encampment near the isle of Erollis, in the zone Frostfang Sea.
THE ICY KEEP: RETRIBUTION

A new level 90+ x4 raid dungeon with associated quests is aimed to give players an easy to moderate challenge! The pesky Frostfoots have found a new way into the Icy Keep and this time the Ice Maidens are ready for them! Join Snarf, Gerbi and many more in their quest to rid themselves of the newly hatched Ice Dragon, Vrewwx! Consider yourselves warned, however… Before entering you might want to bring 23 of your friends to help you get past his guardians.
UNDERFOOT DEPTHS

There is a battle raging as powerful elemental forces gather deep beneath the earth. Only the most powerful raiding parties can hope to prevail in the Underfoot Depths.

Bleh, i like Halas... but i hate how much easier things are constantly getting... I guess i am to old school to accept that "give me now" mentality that seems to preside with this generation and that is leaking into the mmo universe.

I miss old EQ2.....

I agree it should be alot harder. But that said things have gotten cooler lately. The Guides have been logging on and pushing lore thru quests they only offer.

Alot of the new generation of players lvl lock/mentor big time. Chat lvl is full of low lvl grouping going on. Even tho there are those crazy dinks who want to get to 90 as fast as possible, they seem to be few and far between. Some guild advertise a non powerlvling attitude.

Groups for lvl's 70-80 are hard to get. But that's a population problem on LDL rather than anything else. They made the TSO zones scalable to 90 to fight that.

When I went and checked out Halas it was bursting full tho. Was a choice between Halas, Halas1, all the way to 5. And lvl chat was full of folks making new toons and checking out the lore. Even guides on giving out quests and collections to egg them on.

As for the guild I'm still the only one really in it. Heloise is on once a week and the others haven't been on in nearly a month. Meh. Would be nice to see folks again but whatever. I know how it goes.

That is because when the younger generation is in a raid or solo tanking an epic monster for hawt loot they sometimes need to send a text message.

War is the remedy our enemies have chosen, I say give them all they want.

*waves to Cole*

As for battlegrounds I don't know much about it since I dislike most pvp stuffe.

All I know is that some folks love it and others don't care.

Think it's lvl 30-90 with a bunch of diff zones and game types (like capture the flag). Everyone in the game can play together no matter what server. You can go in with a set group or get in line for a pick up. And I think, depending on the game you select, it's either a 12 man zone and some go up to 48.

Like the shards in pve you have shard quests to get raid gear. They give xp and aa as well.

I'll try it out someday. Not in much of a hurry tho. So much more to do still.
